1. It is a place of absolute enchantment
If you see them using the words “magical’ or “enchanting” anywhere you should know that it is exactly what Treedom is all about. You get so lost in this place that you literally feel like you are on a different planet. Treedom is a place where you can bring all your weird and wonderful ideas to life!
2. Eco-friendly
Treedom boasts an eco-friendly environment with being off the grid with water, using eco-friendly cleaning products, and locally produced guest amenities that are safe for the environment, reclycing, growing their own organic food and much more!
3. Award-winning
Treedom has been awarded the top service award for honeymoon destinations in the Garden Route for 2022. Their bridal couples are placed in one of the gypsy vardos for the wedding night and they encourage their couples to stay with them even after the wedding, to soak up all the excitement and just take it all in. Which brings us to the next one…
4. The unique stay
Paradise filled with gypsy magic and adventure. Treedom says that staying in their vardos will make you feel like “kings of the road” living in your “horse-drawn” vibrantly painted palace. Artistry and dedication to the building craft of the vardos were the most important part to create these romantic, enchanting and luxurious, self-catering wagons of bliss and wonder.
5. Amazing hosts
I know why I will forever be returning to Treedom and it’s because of the people who made it all possible. Debbie and husband Marc are the two most amazing human beings on this planet. They call Debbie the fairy godmother when it comes to weddings at Treedom. Her infectious attitude and friendly demeanour combined with her hands-on approach to everything make her an excellent host, friend and owner.
6. Capacity
When you you want to elope and it’s just going to be the two of you, or planning an intimate wedding with only the closets friends and family – you already know you need a smaller venue. Treedom is perfect for micro weddings as the intimate ceremony area and the love tunnel, where you will be dining, can comfortably seat up to 35 guests.
7. The love tunnel
The love tunnel is where you will be wining and dining on your big day. This space is so magical and can literally be turned into the reception area of your dreams. Lit up in the evenings with dangling lanterns, fairy lights and candles it creates and astonishingly romantic atmosphere that will blow you away.
8. LGBTQIA+ friendly
Treedom is a place of love and freedom, where they welcome everyone no matter your religion, colour, gender, race or sexual orientation. Treedom passionately believes in equality and celebrating love in every way.
9. 420 friendly
Treedom is also a 420 friendly establishment and allows you to toke away in peace without worrying about anyone blowing your buzz. This is a super perk of staying at Treedom because not all businesses are 420 friendly.
10. The gorgeous photo opportunities
And last but not least, if you are like us and believe that the experience is more important than the big white wedding bells and whistles, you know that documenting your day through photographs is the only other thing that really matters when you decide to elope. Treedom has breathtaking views of Island Lake and *spoiler alert* the sun also sets behind it!!
In conclusion…
If you are not convinced yet, I don’t know what it will take! This is the elopement / intimate wedding destination of dreams and trust me there are many more than only these 10 reasons why you should elope at Treedom! Make sure you visit them for yourself.
