When my partner Karl proposed, I knew I wanted to get married at home in South Africa but also knew that this would end up being a logistical nightmare from a different country with a vastly different time zone. So, I went on the hunt for a wedding planner. My friend from school recommend Carolyn Hall from Adore Weddings. I made contact with Caro and that was the beginning of a beautiful friendship and the planning of the wedding of my dreams. From the first time we chatted, I could see what an incredibly kind and professional person Caro is. Her passion for helping others (and for flowers) absolutely shines through. With the help of the amazing Ella, no request was too big or ridiculous, the vendors she suggested were amazing and every thing – down to even the smallest detail – was thought of. With a few chats and Pinterest pics, Caro and Ella just seemed to get my vision for our wedding. One of my friends even said at the wedding, that it was like Caro took my brain and put it on the table. Caro and Ella were able to create the most magical day for Karl and I and for our families and friends. According to my sisters in law – the best wedding ever. Even better than their own. Haha. In the lead up to the wedding everyone around me kept exclaiming that I was such a ‘chill bride’ and I was bombarded with offers of help from family and friends but I didn’t need anything because of Caro and Ella. Having them plan our special day meant that everything was taken care of – conversations with the venue when things weren’t quite up to Caro’s standards, fulfilling my last minute request to have the bar guys look after all the booze, keeping my flowers spectacular in the 44° heat and even helping to defrizz my crazy hair – Caro and Ella looked after everything.  I am so incredibly grateful to Caro and Ella. My wedding was genuinely one of the best days of my life. I think about it at least a million times a day. My flowers, the table decor, the food, the music and the staff were just phenomenal. If I could afford to get married at least once a year, I would and I would ask Caro and Ella to plan it every time.  Not only did I get the wedding of my dreams working with Caro and Adore Weddings, I also have made a friend for life.
