My name is Adri Hugo and I have been in the bridal industry for two decades. As a professional wedding hair and makeup specialist, it is my art and passion to capture a bride’s essence and tastefully accentuate their best features.

It’s funny to think that I have been doing this for 20 years now, and I just keep falling more deeply in love with the industry. What this experience has taught me is that the devil is in the detail. I am quite a driven person and I’m always determined to get the job done right. To achieve this I strike a fine balance between creativity and practicality. Simply put, I adore my profession. I love the diversity of individual jobs and people I get to meet from all over the word but weddings lie particularly close to my heart – being a part of your celebration in some small way makes my work so much more rewarding. I love using airbrushing and am happy to say that I am known for specializing in airbrushing; often combining traditional brush techniques with airbrushing to get the best effect for my clients.

I studied Health and Skincare with an extensive makeup course because I wanted to do more than ‘just a makeup course’ – this comes in handy with clients who suffer with problematic skin, sensitivity and allergies. Along with that I have also trained in hair styling which means I can make your hair pretty in a flowing curl or posh in a sleek chignon!

I consider myself very fortunate for the invaluable experiences and exposure that I had in the earlier years of my career. Growing up, I loved everything creative and beautiful, so it made perfect sense that I was drawn to the beauty industry. After qualifying as a hairdresser, I decided to add make-up to my repertoire. I have loved the art of makeup ever since I can remember and enjoyed doing hair and makeup for my friends from a very young age, thus it was only natural for me to study makeup artistry after school. I completed my course in Makeup and Hairstyling in 2006 and thus have been in the industry for 16 years! It is still to this day my biggest passion!
