This genre spoke to me deeply, and over time, I realized that boudoir photography was my true calling. Today, my focus is entirely on boudoir, where I can celebrate and uplift women through images that reveal their beauty, strength, and confidence. For me, the experience of helping women see themselves in a new, empowered light is nothing short of a gift from God.
I am Chantelle Van Hamersveld, the heart behind Obsession Boudoir Photography, and I’ve built a supportive and professional team dedicated to ensuring our clients feel their absolute best. Before each session, our talented makeup artists and hairstylists work their magic to make sure you feel flawless and confident from the start. My studio is located in the vibrant Montana Boulevard at 1032 Silvergrass Street, Montana, a welcoming space designed with comfort and style to set the perfect mood for each session.
My mission goes beyond just creating beautiful images. I just wanted to let you know that the shoot was very beneficial for me, as it forced me to get out of my comfort zone as well as view my body in a whole new light. When you showed me the sneak pics, it shocked me as for years I’ve hated my own body. I’ve starved myself in the past thinking that it would help me ‘love’ myself-but that always led to binge eating and the cycle continued. Just yesterday I wanted to buy a dress but the one size was too big and the size under was too small, I cried thinking that I have a disgusting body that doesn’t deserve new clothes -but today’s shoot showed me a whole different picture. I always thought that people were lying to me when they told me my body is fine or even their dream body…turns out I’ve been lying to myself. From when you showed me the first picture I did get a bit in my head and was self-criticising my own body but as the shoot went on I saw my body as something beautiful. I did this shoot for my soon-to-be husband, but I am so glad I did because it finally helped me mentally and emotionally. I feel as if many women are in the same boat as me, and I wish they could all come for a shoot as it’s not just a treat for the love in their lives, but more as a treat for themselves. I was telling someone very close to me about how the shoot changed my mindset and as I started talking about it I got so emotional. I just want to say thank you for making me feel so comfortable even though it did take a while and who knows you might see me again. I can’t thank you enough.
