David Robinson Master of Ceremonies

Welcome to the MC world of the one and only David Robinson, a bilingual Master of Ceremonies, your English and Afrikaans MC of choice. My journey as a performer all started when I finished my Bachelor of Arts degree in Live performance from AFDA Film and Drama school in 2006.

I used this training to pursue a career in the performing arts, and appeared in numerous TV adverts including Vodacom, Tropika, Nestlé, Debonairs and Standard bank to name a few. The excitement and adventure of performing while traveling then drew me in, and this is when I worked on the MSC Sinfonia as an entertainer and host for 2 seasons. The passion I have for talking in front of people was what made this experience so worthwhile, especially when hosting events for over 500 people at a time.

The passion has continued to grow and was initially noticed by friends and family, which is where David Robinson… The wedding Master of ceremonies was born. I have now hosted numerous weddings at some of the most sought-after Wedding venues in South Africa, including Red Ivory, Shepstone Gardens, Tres Jolie and Palala Boutique Game Lodge.

With over 10 years experience, a knack for making meaningful connections and an insatiable appetite for entertaining, I use my charismatic humour to engage the guests and leave them on a high long after the wedding has ended. I pride myself on being professional at all times, while bringing my own unique sense of humour and energy to your wedding. I believe in having a basic structure to work in and around, while bringing my own flair and charm to make your wedding the most unforgettable experience of a lifetime.

In order to make this a seamless experience, I also include a free personalised consultation in person or over video call with the bridal couple before the wedding, to make sure all your needs and desires are well taken care of. I may make you laugh, and I may make you cry, but those emotions will be so memorable that you will beg your friends and family to also have me as their trusted wedding MC. Let’s make your Dream Day come true.

We had the absolute pleasure of meeting David at my sister’s wedding in November 2021 which he officiated. He grasped the crowd with his very first sentence and I instantly knew that we had found our MC for our upcoming wedding in March 2022. David has an uncanny, natural talent to hype up any crowd he stands in front of, regardless of age or gender. His preparation was thorough and presented himself in a very professional manner. We would just like to thank David Robinson for being the MC for our wedding at Shepstone Gardens. David knows how to entertain a crowd, he had all our guest entertained from start to finish. David has a way  that just seems so effortless when he is in-front of a crowd. Dave was the awesome MC at our wedding in 2021! He did a really excellent job and we got lots of compliments after the event about how funny he was.
