Renowned as one of Cape Town’s most precious hidden gems, the intimate 5-star boutique lodge is positioned on a pebbled beach at the foot of famous Chapman’s Peak within the Table Mountain National Park.
A variety of wedding packages are offered, ranging from custom-made small, intimate weddings, to grand Tintswalo Atlantic 2-day or 3-day Destination Weddings catering for up to 100 seated guests. Cocktail parties may host up to 120 guests, spilling out onto expansive wooden decks where waves crash at your feet. In cooler weather, the setting is equally dramatic, as celebrations move indoors where, warmed by cosy wood-burning fireplaces, sit-down weddings cater for up to 70 guests and cocktail parties for up to 90 guests. This is one of Cape Town’s hottest beachside cafés and for good reason. Firstly, it is set in a prime location- Granger Bay- and is framed by the ocean on one side and the majestic Cape town stadium on the other side. It is within walking distance from the V&A Waterfront. Set on golden beach sand, the Grand offers indoor and outdoor dining with space for many people at a time. Besides being an awesome eating and drinking spot it has hosted summer concerts which have proved very popular. The food is exquisite, fresh, fragrant and mouth-wateringly good. The menu is expensive, but the quality of the food and generous portions offset the costs. Of course the service is excellent. – Gill A

Couples travel from all around the world to get married in Cape Town and experience the beauty, the extraordinary pleasant weather and the diversity it has to offer.
Two of the most popular wedding venue settings in the Western Cape are wine estates and near the ocean. There truly is a perfect venue for every couple. Just make sure to book your venue at least a year in advance, especially if you plan to have your wedding during the summer months (September to March) or on a popular long weekend. Consider having a weekday wedding in a less popular month to avoid peak season prices.
Once you have chosen a breathtaking venue it will be much easier to turn it into your envisioned perfect day. But there will be restrictions that will nudge your decision towards the right place.
What is the capacity of the venue?
Are they available on your preferred date?
How far would your guests need to travel?
Is there accommodation nearby?
Is there a Plan B in case of cold/rainy weather?
Most venues offer different wedding packages so keep an eye out for them to see what is included. Make sure you understand the fine print and the after-hour charges. Open and clear communication between you and the venue management team is crucial to ensure both parties understand requirements and preferences.
