This is one of Cape Town’s hottest beachside cafés and for good reason. Firstly, it is set in a prime location- Granger Bay- and is framed by the ocean on one side and the majestic Cape town stadium on the other side. It is within walking distance from the V&A Waterfront. Set on golden beach sand, the Grand offers indoor and outdoor dining with space for many people at a time. Besides being an awesome eating and drinking spot it has hosted summer concerts which have proved very popular. The food is exquisite, fresh, fragrant and mouth-wateringly good. The menu is expensive, but the quality of the food and generous portions offset the costs. Of course the service is excellent. – Gill A

The Homestead building dates from the 1820’s and once served as a farmhouse to supply the garrison in Wynberg. It retains many original features, including internal and external joinery. Providing a unique and Victorian feel to the southern suburbs, The Homestead now provides beautiful indoor & outdoor areas, and full onsite catering from the Food Fanatics team. The venue offers facilities for various occasions such as weddings, product launches, private birthday parties, corporate end years, workshops & meetings, art exhibitions and film/still shoots to name a few.

Had my 50th Ladies Lunch at The Homestead on 19 May 2018. It was everything I had hoped it would be! The food was really delicious and beautifully presented. Shona took my brief and delivered the exact theme I wanted to perfection. She is a gem at organising your event and nothing is too much trouble. Elaine and her team made the most delicious canapés on arrival and a delicious spread served at the table which made it informal and more conversational. Desserts were also very good. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this venue for your function – Alison Lowndes

Cape Town is internationally known as a top wedding and tourist destination, from the city centre to the Winelands.  It is certainly the crown jewel of wedding destinations in  Africa.

The “Mother City” is the second-most populous city in South Africa after Johannesburg and also the legislative capital of South Africa. The city is known for its world-famous beaches, its natural setting in the Cape Floristic Region, and for landmarks such as Table Mountain and Cape Point.  Venues range from modern, urban rooftops, luxury beach villas and large hotel banquet halls to picturesque wine estates.

Once you have chosen your perfect venue it will be much easier to turn it into your envisioned day. But there will be restrictions that will nudge your decision towards the right place.

What is the capacity of the venue?
Are they available on your preferred date?
How far would your guests need to travel?
Is there accommodation nearby?
Is there a Plan B in case of cold/rainy weather?

We wish you all the best with your venue search and we hope you find your dream venue in our lists!
