I started my working life as a professional dancer and then Executive PA, you can say that I’ve always loved everything arty, but learned a lot about how to conduct business from my PA days. Little did I know what started out as just a hobby in 2005, soon after became my full-time career. Fast forward 5 years and I now find myself with a resume of which I am very proud.
I have approximately 500 weddings to my name as a makeup artist, and twice have been nominated by my brides through SABIA (Now known as ABIA) as one of the top bridal makeup artists in Gauteng.
My work has been featured in some of South Africa’s top magazines like Cosmo, Savage Magazine, 1st Edition of the S.A Playboy (worked with the International model Maria Eriksson), Get It Magazine Jhb West, Premier, Kuier, Keur, Due East, Huisgenoot, You, Good Housekeeping, O Magazine, Idees to name but a few, in total 13 magazine covers. For TV I’ve done TV commercials, talk shows etc which can be seen on MNET, Kruiskyk and the Home Channel on DSTV.
I’ve been privileged enough to have worked with some very prominent designers both International (Eric Way) and local (Gerhard Meiring & David Tlale) and several other smaller design houses in SA like Urban Goddess.
I’ve also had the pleasure of working with several of our local celebrities and socialites (singers and actors), like Shalene Surtie Richards, Natasha Sutherland, Nadia Beukes, Izak Davel, Lynne de Jager (Mrs SA 2011/2012), Carolyn Steyn, Michael de Pina, Stefan Ludick, Emmanuel Castis, Toya de Lacey, Lira, Chantel Gertse to name but a few…
I’m a SETA accredited assessor and facilitator which gives me the opportunity to train very high-quality makeup artists and lecturing and assessing students at some of SA top training institutes.
