The One Film Co., based in Cape Town, is where love stories meet the art of filmmaking. Founded by Ru, who has been in the film, videography, and photography game since 2018, our focus is on capturing the real, raw moments that make weddings unforgettable. With a background in commercial work, including collaborations with brands, athletes, and musicians, Ru’s journey into wedding filmmaking was sparked by his first gig as a second shooter in 2019. That experience—full of emotions, anticipation, and love—left him hooked on capturing the fleeting, yet endlessly precious moments that weddings are all about. Ru’s training under the world-renowned stock photographer Yuri Arcurs shaped his eye for composition, lighting, and the kind of artistic motivation that elevates every shot. This deep understanding, combined with his love for romance, allows The One Film Co. to produce wedding films that couples will cherish for years to come.

We’re not here to dazzle you with flashy edits or over-the-top productions. Our aim is to be in the right place at the right time, capturing the authentic moments that define your day. Then, we weave those moments into a cinematic film that stands the test of time. And now, we’re excited to introduce Anthony, our new Co-owner and soon-to-be face of The One Film Co. Anthony brings a unique perspective as a young pastor with a deep passion for filmmaking.
