Although she is an ordained minister, she embraces all faiths and lifestyles. Dr Uys’s services include: Commitment renewals, Elopements, GLBTIQ ceremonies, Handfasting rituals, Legal signing only, Full ceremonies and signing.
The Chapel: Set in the heart of a Nature Reserve in Penhill is a delightfully rustic Chapel quietly awaiting your arrival. The chapel is set among wise, established trees in the heart of old country and peace. For your special, historic moment of your love story, she offers you a venue and day filled with whimsy and romance. Butterflies float by as bees busily trill around flowers and squirrels curiously pop in for a quick peek. The magnificent bird life encapsulates all the tranquillity, freedom and excitement you feel on your magical day. The Chapel homes intimate, bespoke wedding families of up to fifteen people. Full wedding planning services and catering are available to take the stress out of your day.
You were absolutely everything we wanted and more. You made our ceremony personal, lighthearted yet we still felt the meaning in every word. The fact that you included our young son and connected so beautifully with him was the cherry on top. Dr Lesly Uys officiated over our wedding, on Gordons Bay Beach in November 2017. We met with Lesly to discuss our wedding ceremony and on the day before, we had a practice run on the beach so that we knew what to expect. She was extremely professional and did not even miss a beat, even when the groom forgot the ring in his backpack. Lesly was very charismatic and knew how to handle the guests and keep the ceremony on track. She handled every step of the way, including assisting us with our vows as both of us were quite nervous and even I hit a blank at one stage, but she remained calm and took control. Lesly is a well-groomed, highly intelligent lady and has a mature and serene demeanor, which is necessary as weddings can sometimes be frantic. – Karen & Dean
