Cecile & Yannick’s Real Wedding at The Conservatory

The Conservatory is set amongst vineyards and ancient oaks in the beautiful Franschhoek valley, a stunning glass venue, a blank canvas where any dream wedding can come true.

An amazing team of professional service providers, led by the creative and energetic Nu from Nu experiences, collaborated to create an especially authentic wedding celebration for Cecile and Yannick. The wedding day was a perfect, hot summer’s day in the Winelands. The ceremony took place between the vineyards with guests finding some shade under white paper parasols. It was truly a picture perfect ‘French’ setting, which suited this incredible Mauritian couple to the ‘T’.

Cecile and Yannick said their ‘I do’s’ before their loved ones, framed by an elegant arch, which was filled with fresh seasonal florals. The vines and vast mountain pass on the horizon created a stunning backdrop. It truly was a ceremony setting to be marvelled.

The floral arch was created to be moved after the ceremony to create a photobooth backdrop during pre-drinks. This is a clever way to be as eco friendly as possible, reusing and doubling up wherever possible. This not only reduces the waste, but also ensures that clients get the maximum value for their money.

After the ceremony guests made their way back to the venue for pre-drinks, which took place under the old oak tree, where 4 Every Event had set up relaxing lounge pockets and even a wooden love seat hanging from a branch. They were treated to some tasty canapés created by the Slippery Spoon Kitchen team, paired with delicious local wines and bubbly. The mood was set with funky live music by Jamie Faull on saxophone.  The perfect way to kick start the festivities.

Once the sun had set, guests found their seats for dinner at one long, elegant banquet table. 4 Every Event created fresh green runners as tablescapes, decorated with a variety of dinner candles. There was an overhanging structure, dripping with greenery and glass baubles and candles over the tables, ensuring the setting was still lush and romantic but still leaving enough space on the tables for the feast that was about to be served.

The roof was decorated in twinkling fairy lights and exposed filament globes, which shone through the greenery structure above the tables. It truly was a romantic, whimsical setting.

There is nothing like some ice cream on a hot summer’s day! After dinner and all the formalities were done, the guests enjoyed ice cream from a little ice cream cart, and danced the night away.

All this magic was captured by the amazing Kelly from Vinylrae Photography, as you will see in these images, you can almost feel the essence and energy that was created on this day, to celebrate the love and union of this incredible couple, Cecile & Yannick.
