Face, hair and hands

Your wedding day is the day to look and feel your best. Get a professional shave and a fresh haircut. Even invest in a few facials in the weeks or months before your wedding. A manicure is a must. You will feature alongside your bride in many photos, photos that you will display and look at for the rest of your life. And if your bride can have fun prepping for the wedding, why shouldn’t you!

Choose your knot wisely. The classic Windsor knot suits any occasion. Apart from the knot, there are so many fabrics and patterns to choose from. Make sure it fits your suit. WEEF WEAR custom makes and engrave initials to their leather ties – a timeless gift a bride can give to her husband on their special day! WEEF also makes leather bow ties with custom engraved wooden packaging which is the perfect groomsman gift.

Cufflinks

Customise your cufflinks with a bespoke monogram (her and your initials) or a special quote/message that is dear to both of you. This is a special detail and something you can use for the rest of your life – which will remind you of your union and wedding day every time you wear it.

Tie clip

Stand out from the rest of your guests with a tie clip. A very sophisticated and practical accessory – it polishes your look and keeps your tie in place at all times. The perfect position for a tie clip is between the third and fourth buttons of your shirt.

Pocket square

This little piece of cloth can really elevate your look and round off your suit! You are a gentleman after all. There is a whole list of types of folds here. Choose a fabric that complements your tie, you can really add a bit of personality and fun here.

Boutonnieres

We are not done yet! Your boutonniere is a subtle accessory that rounds off your look. Most of the time best men also each get one – it really makes you and your team stand out and looks beautiful in formal photographs.

The boutonniere must be attached to the left lapel of a suit, with the flower pointing upward and the stem pointing downward. Let someone else pin it for you. Make sure the stem is dried before you pin it. The pin must go into the lapel fabric first, then through the stem and then into the fabric again, with the sharp point hidden underneath the fabric (for obvious reasons!).

Belt or suspenders?

Let your personality and wedding style guide you. Choose what feels right and natural to you. You don’t need suspenders or a belt with a tuxedo. If your suit is tailor-made, you also won’t need a belt but do use one if you need it to keep your pants in place.

Your watch

Another practical and stylish accessory. Wear the best one you can afford on your wedding day. If you are going for an old-world charm and wearing a waistcoat, a pocket watch is the answer!

Suit

The pièce de résistance. There is nothing as handsome as a man in a well-tailored suit! This is your chance to pick the best one that suits you or have one tailor-made. Most importantly, stay true to yourself and don’t try and become someone you are not on your wedding day. Start planning ahead of time, don’t wait until two weeks before the wedding! Also, add a new crisp shirt to your suit, an old one just won’t do.

Most importantly, enjoy every moment of preparation for the most important day of your life!
