Real Wedding at The Gin Palace on Môreson Farm in Franschhoek

Taryn and Jaryd had the most magical Jewish wedding on the 9th of January 2020 at The Gin Palace on Môreson Farm in Franschhoek. The lovely couple contacted Trunk Events a little over a year before their wedding and booked us for full wedding planning, coordination as well as decor, set-up and styling. With Taryn being situated in Dubai, we had numerous phone calls, emails and messages about planning their special day and discussing what she envisioned for their wedding.

Taryn had a very clear vision from the start; she wanted her and Jaryd’s wedding to be absolutely amazing and something that wasn’t really the ‘usual’ look for a Cape Town wedding. The reception made use of both round and trestle tables, with the two different shaped tables portraying a different look. The couple loved the ochre/rust and navy colour palette and wanted to incorporate these tones throughout the wedding.

My Pretty Vintage did an astonishing job with the flowers, creating a beautiful sky of greenery and florals above the tables and dance floor, with the lighting from Baie Goeters peeping through. The tables had stunning flowers such as hydrangeas, orchids and tulips, with some vibrant fruit making an appearance too.

The attention to detail was something that was very important to Taryn, such as the trays filled with goodies in both the ladies and the gents bathrooms and also the flip flops for the guests when the dancing began.

The wedding day itself was filled with so much excitement, love and absolute joy! From the Bedeken where Taryn and Jaryd saw each other for the first time, to the Horahs which was SO MUCH FUN (most of the service providers and staff couldn’t help them self from clapping and dancing along). The room was filled with family and friends from all over the world and the love between Taryn and Jaryd was undeniable.
